Firstly, unlike most of the so-called classic RPG, fighters will be on
the left and enemies on the right . This choice was made, on
the
one hand to cause a rift between the professional game and the project.
On the other hand because the left has an important significance in the
scenario.
There will be a training system (appeared in Suikoden
V). Formations can define the layout of personages in fighting to offer
bonus features but also penalty in return. For example, some formation
will give you more power, but you will be more exposed to enemy blows.
The
system unite attack (typical of all Suikoden) is also
present.
Clearly, characters with affinity will join forces in a single attack,
often devastating to the enemy. Just like in the saga, cooperation will
be two, three, four, five or six personages.
Let us propose something new:
In
addition to the usual HP and MP, each character have Will Point to
activate the "Power of Will". It can be defined as a kind of ultimate
technique to launch a powerful attack, but its use and filling are
widely different from this kind of action like in other games. In fact,
each attack or magix given will rise the gauge, but any damage taken
will decrease it.
Others are still kept secret, but everything is done for a certain
harmony between the different episodes and some innovation.
